After being laser-focused for two months, I finished a big project in my coaching business and launched a new email series. After completing it, I celebrated of course! Rooted in Celebration is the “R” in the Clear Vision Framework. After, I started to think about redoing it.
After thinking on it for a few days I realized that I don’t want to redo anything. Instead, I want to renew my commitment to my intention. And here’s why.
Redoing something means it didn’t go the way you originally intended, probably because your intention wasn’t clear. Redoing it also means you had a right and a wrong story around what you were trying to create, which leads to the ever-present “I failed,” “I’m not enough,” “why me?” thoughts of that damn paradox pattern.
When we redo without a clear intention, we work in the same level of energy, which is probably going to yield the same results, only slightly different.
My guess is that it ain’t working for you; it certainly doesn’t work for me.
So, let’s instead take a different approach.
Let’s start with a clear intention.
Let’s make this real.
The first step in the Clear Vision Framework is to set a Clear Concept, or intention if you will. After you have your Clear Concept you can move into taking action on “what” it will look like, or how it will manifest in the world.
So, for example, as it relates to my email series, my intention was to offer my email list a cliff notes version of the first 4 chapters of my book–which you can download for free if you want–to make it easy to access if you don’t have a lot of time. After I had the intention in place I moved into “what it was going to be” which is the actual emails that land in my client’s inbox.
Here are a few questions from the Clear Vision Framework to laser focus on your intention and make sure you don’t have to redo your efforts a few months down the road:
- What is the intention you want to bring to life?
- What idea, message, or solution is so important that you need to create it so it can be shared with the world?
- What skills and services do you bring to the table that will enhance and better the lives of those around you?
- What makes you you and makes your vision stand out above the rest?
My intention in everything I do is to create a full expression of myself so I can use my voice in a positive and productive way for my clients.
If something goes wrong or doesn’t work for me I have new moon rituals in place to refresh and renew my commitment to my intention.
Therefore, if you want something to change, especially big things in your career or business, you don’t need to redo; you need to renew your original intention.
With your intention in mind, take a look at what you can renew, refresh, or revitalize in your career or business this season. Let go of the old, don’t wish for a redo, and dive into the new, the unknown, and make what is impossible possible.

How to Set New Moon Intentions

Bring small rituals to life like adding a new crystal to your workspace, (or your bra!) listening to an inspiring song each morning, I love Toni Jones in the morning, or reciting a new affirmation “I am a powerful creative force” is a go-to for me. These small rituals can help keep your goals at the forefront of your mind and maintain your motivation.
Positive Use of Your Voice:
Set an intention to use your voice positively and impactfully, reinforcing your business intentions and standing out in your communication.
